Summer Camps at EAST Collective

Story Players: ages 5–9.
Rhythm Kids®: ages 4-8.
Young Songwriters: ages 6-10.

Kids explore theater, music, storytelling, and creative arts in small groups. Built for imagination, confidence, and connection.

Story Players camps are an extension of the weekly classes that began in the spring. Led by Ms. Allison of Tenn Little Birds.

“[My daughter] has done a lot of after-school activities, but of all of them, she's looked forward to this the most. Since the class started, we see her doing plays and planning plays all the time during the week. When her play was picked to be acted out by her peers, she felt so special. I see her totally activated and engaged — something she clearly looks forward to all week."— Ariel S., Story Players parent

Creative Arts Camp

Over the course of the week, kids design original creatures, draw the maps of where they live, write the rules of how their world works, and build it all out through art projects, music, movement, and storytelling. No two Creature Quests will ever look the same — because no two kids invent the same world. Ages 5–9. No experience required.

Campers spend the week exploring a world of dragons, spells, and legendary creatures — making art, building costumes, playing imaginative games, and creating their own mythical characters. Part art studio, part storytelling adventure, part magical world you make up as you go. Ages 5–9. No experience required.

What families are saying

"Our daughter has loved being part of this class. She said it lets her creativity shine, and she loves the feeling of being creative with others. At home, we've seen her keep writing stories and characters, always excited to share them with us." — Blair P., Story Players parent

"[My daughter] has looked forward to this more than any after-school activity she's done. Since the class started, we see her doing plays and planning plays all week. When her play was picked to be acted out by her peers, she felt so special." — Ariel S., Story Players parent

Rhythm Kids® Camp: Drum Adventure

Children participating in a Music Together parent-child class, playing on musical instruments and engaging in activities in a brightly lit room.

Rhythm Kids® Drum Adventure presented by Tenn Little Birds

Rhythm Kids® is the Music Together® program built for bigger kids who are ready to do more than just sing along — they want to drum, compose, conduct, and move. Campers spend the week playing West African djembe drums and percussion instruments, learning rhythms from musical traditions around the world (West African Gahu, Japanese Taiko, Brazilian Samba), and discovering what it feels like to improvise, lead, and make music with other people. We’ll use the Tree Frog collection.

Part music camp, part world tour, entirely kid-powered. No musical experience required — Rhythm Kids is designed as a first serious music experience, not a continuation of one. Ages 4–8. Half day, 9am–12pm.

July 27 - July 31

Story Players: Theater Camp

A diverse group of cartoon children on stage, smiling and posing for a photo, with a curtain in the background.

Theater isn't about performing — it's about paying attention. At Story Players, kids learn to listen, react, and play honestly with each other through ensemble theater games and character work rooted in how working actors actually train. By the end of the week, every kid will have invented original characters, played dozens of scenes, and discovered what it feels like to be fully present in a room with other people. Ages 5–9. No experience required.

Details:
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Ages 5-9
Tuition: $475. Sibling $375.
